HILL Adam
Adam Hill-Born Blacktown-Dhungatti from Burnt Bridge, Kempsey-lives in Sydney Adam Hill is respected as an artist and performer both in Australia and internationally. He is an urban aboriginal artist who is known for the inclusion of social and political commentary as an intergral part of his works. A clever sense of humour and penchant for "play on words" Adam's work and their titles are often humourous but at the same time present strong comment on our history, society and politics. In recent times he has received attention with work being acquired by Artbank, featuring on the ABC "Sunday Arts" Program, and in Arts Review. Adam graduated as a graphic designer at UWS in 1994 and has produced innumerable designs for government department etc, he has also worked at the Koori mail. He has been involved in many exhibitions (both group and solo). He has also worked on many school and community projects, creating many public artworks across NSW. He is well known and respected as a Yidaki (Didgeridoo) player as has toured his music internationally.
